Amigo is a conversational companion designed to reduce loneliness, provide cognitive stimulation through conversation, and generate non-clinical summaries and alerts for monitoring well-being.
Amigo is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or clinical therapy.
We may create irreversibly anonymized datasets derived from conversation data for research purposes. Once anonymized, these datasets cannot be used to identify any individual and are no longer considered personal information.
We process personal information based on user consent, consent provided by a legal representative where applicable, contractual necessity, and legitimate interests consistent with applicable laws.
Consent for research use of anonymized data is explicit, optional, and separate from other consents. Refusing this consent does not affect access to the Service.
Audio recordings may be retained to allow users or their authorized representatives to retrieve them as personal memories, subject to prior contractual consent.
Personal information is accessible only to authorized Verbasync personnel on a strict need-to-know basis.
Family members and caregivers do not have access by default. Access may be granted only with the user’s explicit consent or through a legally authorized representative and may be revoked at any time.
We do not sell personal information. Personal information may be shared only with authorized service providers under confidentiality obligations, when required by law, or with authorized caregivers or family members when consented to.
We may share, license, or sell irreversibly anonymized datasets with academic, medical, or institutional research partners working on Alzheimer’s disease or other aging-related conditions.
Verbasync Inc. is the owner of these anonymized datasets.
Unless otherwise required by law:
After this period, all personal data is permanently deleted. Anonymized datasets may be retained indefinitely.
Personal information may be stored and processed outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Appropriate safeguards are applied in accordance with applicable laws.
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including access controls, encryption, monitoring, and internal security policies.
Amigo uses automated systems to generate non-clinical recommendations, summaries, and alerts. These outputs do not produce legal or significant effects and do not replace human judgment.
Our website may use functional cookies, analytics cookies, and marketing cookies. Cookie preferences can be managed through browser settings or consent tools where applicable.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability of your personal information, or withdraw consent.
