This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our AI voice companion service, in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Services Covered

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Our web application for businesses.
  • Our mobile application for seniors, available via B2B clients or individual downloads from the App Store and Google Play Store.

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Personal Identifiable Information (PII): Name, surname, username, phone number (stored non-encrypted for account login and password reset).
  • Encrypted Data: Passwords (for login), conversation transcripts (to ensure the app’s conversational flow), and anonymized usage metrics (for usage analytics). This encrypted data is inaccessible even to us.
  • Usage Data: Interaction data, call logs, and conversation metadata.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the Amigo Elderly service.
  • Personalize interactions and enhance user experience.
  • Monitor safety, well-being, and provide weekly reports.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

We do not sell your personal information. None of the personal information of individual users is shared with third parties. Under agreed contracts with B2B clients, we may share the following user information:

  • Usage metrics.
  • Alerts in case of concerning conditions detected (e.g., depression, abuse, anomaly). These alerts are standardized and contain no details from conversation transcripts.

We may also disclose your information to:

  • Authorized caregivers or institutions, as directed by you.
  • Service providers who assist us in delivering the service (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics).
  • Regulatory authorities, if required by law.

Your Rights

Under the CCPA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we have collected about you.
  • Request the deletion of your personal information.
  • Opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell information).

Managing Your Information

You can delete your account directly from the app by navigating to: Menu > Delete my account. Alternatively, you can send a deletion request to adrien@tryamigo.io.
